  • Choux pastry:
  • 'pâte à choux'

INGREDIENTS:

  1. 2,5dl water
  2. 125gr flour
  3. 4 eggs
  4. 80gr unsalted butter
  5. pinch of salt
  6. 16gr vanillasugar

  • In a large sauce pan add the water, butter, salt, vanilla sugar.
  • Place on a medium heat and bring to boiling point.
  • Add the flour and mix it all together.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add one egg at a time and mix it with a wooden spoon until the egg is completely mixed with the rest.
  • Use your muscles, stir well!
  • Repeat untill all eggs are used.
  • The Pâte à choux is ready for usage.
  • Used for croquembouche, eclairs....

    Or fill profiteroles with whipped cream and strawberry.

TOOLS NEEDED:

  1. Wooden spoon
  2. Large saucepan
  3. Muscles!

TIPS & TRICKS:

  1. Always measure the ingedients as described.
  2. Carefully add one egg at a time.
  3. It might look blurry when adding one egg, but keep on mixing, it will get better.
  4. Do not add sugar when using it for savory dishes.
